Phase III update

Virginia will be moving into Phase III on Wednesday, July 1st. Rest assured, our daycare in Falls Church is rapidly responding to the many change requirements. We have held a staff meeting to prepare.

A couple of things that will be new:

- Limit to ONE personal item from home. A Sheet/blanket for naps does not apply.

- Parents must supply a mask(s) for their child to have at the center. You can return the ones they painted if you would like, or any other cloth mask will be fine. These will go home on Friday’s just like their sheets/blankets. This way they will have a mask easily accessible if proper social distancing cannot be maintained.

- Temperature checks will still be required in the morning. Please come to the office first to clock your child in and a staff member will take your child’s temperature for the day. Upon pick-up, please clock your child out first and then get them from their classroom. This will hopefully eliminate traffic jams in the office in the afternoons.

Kaye Kare adapting to COVID-19

During the pandemic we took decisive planning and action. Our facility was closed for a deep clean, then reopened to support essential workers. We didn't stop there! Our investment in the work and supplies to keep our facility sparkling clean has been working out great. The daycare has followed all the latest CDC guidance and kept parents informed. Our latest software system has kept us organized and we also started virtual preschool classes. The teachers love seeing those smiling faces! On behalf of everyone and Kaye Kare, I want to say "Thank you" for your patience and support. Stay safe everyone!
